Our Team

James grew up in Red Wing and graduated from Red Wing Central High School.  As a youth, he delivered newspapers for the Red Wing Republican Eagle, shoveled snow, and mowed lawns.  In high school, he worked for the Red Wing City Laboratory and was a member of the Goodhue County Civil Air Patrol squadron, where he attended flight school and soloed an aircraft.  James went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations.

After a number of years working in advertising, real estate sales and mortgage banking in Minneapolis, James decided to attend law school in San Antonio, Texas.  He received his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law and maintained a mediation practice in San Antonio for 13 years.  His career there saw him resolving high-level conflict court cases, as well as acting as a hearing officer for the San Antonio Housing Authority, regarding the disposition of public housing violators.  These experiences provided him with an expertise in negotiation and arbitration.

When he and his wife left Texas and moved to Lake City, James decided to return to the real estate profession.  He thoroughly enjoys the local area from Red Wing to Lake City and specializes in the Red Wing-Lake City Corridor.   He is now able to offer his negotiation and arbitration skills to help buyers and sellers maximize their real estate transactions.  He is a licensed real estate agent in Minnesota.
